General Information

Section titled “Is OnStyle available on MacOS?”Currently, OnStyle is not available for Mac. OnStyle use Microsoft Windows’ local resources, like CPU or memory. In a Mac environment, we recommend using a virtual desktop solution like Parallels® Desktop (https://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/) software, which allows you to run MS Windows Office and use OnStyle with full functionality.
Does OnStyle use Word macros?
Section titled “Does OnStyle use Word macros?”A major advantage of OnStyle is that it does not rely on Word macros. This makes it completely safe, stable, and fast.
Is OnStyle a downloadable add-in or does it operate on the web?
Section titled “Is OnStyle a downloadable add-in or does it operate on the web?”OnStyle is a downloadable Microsoft Word add-in for desktop installations of Word.
Are the features part of one program or separate modules?
Section titled “Are the features part of one program or separate modules?”All features shown on our website and in other materials are included in a single package—modules cannot be installed separately.
Language & Configuration

Section titled “Does OnStyle work only in English, or also in other languages?”OnStyle can handle documents in multiple languages (e.g., Chinese). Additional development may be needed for certain languages, such as Arabic.
Is OnStyle configurable?
Section titled “Is OnStyle configurable?”Yes, OnStyle is highly configurable and can be tailored to your requirements. This ranges from technical settings to UI adjustments.
Can you adapt the configuration to match our style guide?
Section titled “Can you adapt the configuration to match our style guide?”Absolutely. With the Essential and Professional license, we can adapt three core configuration elements free of charge:
- Styles (fonts, font sizes, etc.)
- Header and footer setup
- Page layout and margins
To prepare this, you can:
- Share your style guide or document template, or
- Use our default templates and indicate how they should differ from the standard settings.
This ensures your trial or subscription matches your in-house style requirements from day one.
With the Enterprise license, we offer custom configurations, such as custom UI settings.

What are the licensing terms for OnStyle?

Is OnStyle available as a cloud-based service or on-premises?

Can an individual purchase OnStyle?

Free Trial

Section titled “Will the free trial automatically turn into a paid subscription?”No, the trial is completely free and won’t turn automatically into a paid subscription.
How can I start my free trial?
Section titled “How can I start my free trial?”Simply register for the trial on the website. After the registration the software package will be downloaded to your PC and you will receive information in emails with next steps.
How long is the free trial?
Section titled “How long is the free trial?”The free trial lasts two weeks. If this period is not enough for you, you can contact us to ask for an extension.
